If you are thinking of following a certification in the accounting field, and are finding it difficult to decide, you may also choose the DipIFR. It is a qualification designed to accompany relevant work. It is one exam, and you can prepare for it in three to six months.
Specifically, it is for Professional accountants and auditors working in practice and industry and qualified in national accounting standards that are eligible to take the qualification.
However, one can be eligible through verifying one of the following pathways:
Membership of an Accountancy Professional Body
A relevant degree (attracting exemptions from AB – LW.. 4 exemptions ) plus two years' relevant work experience in an Accounting environment
Three years' relevant work experience
ACCA Affiliate
ACCA Diploma in Financial Management (or Certified Diploma in Accounting & Finance)
ACCA Certificate in International Financial Reporting plus two years relevant work experience.
