WORKING CAPITAL MANAGEMENT (WCM)
Topics: Overview of what is the working capital and how businesses are expected to quantify and determine its optimum level.
This one-day working capital management (WCM) course has been specifically developed to acquaint people with WCM relevant skills so as to enable them to understand what working capital is, it nature and objectives as well as the different ways that are used in order to quantify and determine its optimum level. Course content includes coverage of related topics such as profitability vs liquidity, inventory management, accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) management as well as cash management and funding strategy options. Emphasis will be given on practical real life examples rather than theoretical concepts.
This program provides answers to questions such as:
What is the conflict between profitability and liquidity while determining working capital?
How may one determine the optimum inventory, AR and AP levels in order to determine WC financing requirements?
How does one find the optimum WC financing strategy?
Primary knowledge of basic finance concepts will be helpful but not a pre-requisite in order to attend the course. No advance preparation is required.
This is a course that can be followed both by a starter as well as the experienced financier since it combines basic WCM applicable principles as well as more advanced practical examples which may help build on the already existing knowledge base of the advanced attendee:
